WORSHIP SERVICE BANDS
When we come together to join hearts and voices in praise to God for His greatness and in thanks for His goodness, our musicians and the lead worshipers serve as prompters to prepare, and invite, and support the most important musical ensemble in our church — the congregation! Our musical worship uses a mixture of contemporary songs and traditional hymns accompanied by a small group of singers and a mix of band and classical instruments.
Interested persons can contact the music director who will be happy to conduct a short audition, after which the person will be assigned a role accordingly in the music team. Although musical talent and skill (such as improvisation and good sight reading) with prior experience are preferred, a willing heart and a committed spirit are the most important requirements.
Practice Times:
Sundays after lunch @ 12.30 pm
Sunday mornings before service @ 9.15 am
Besides music in worship, we recognize the importance of music education/exposure and training new musicians for continuity of the ministry. In particular, learning music strengthens educational, physical, and emotional development of children. At Sembpres, we encourage our community to take interest in and develop a passion for worship music and dance, and also provide opportunities for people who have undergone/are undergoing music training to bless others with their talent.
Our centre is specially equipped with practice/jam studios and a dance hall. Besides being used for the music ministry rehearsals, holiday courses for public as well as Christian music and dance seminars/workshops are also conducted/hosted in these facilities.

About the Music Ministry
Music is a vehicle that transcends time, emotion, culture, and language as we connect with others. It unites us when we gather for the ceremonies of life and in times of uncertainty. As God’s people, we are all called to share God's glory through music. (Romans 12:3 – 8). Sembpres sees music has an important area of development and creating bonds/fellowship among the church family.
